What it is

More than a sunlounger, less than a bungalow.

The African daybed is a piece for hospitality venues: a timber module with a mattress base and its own roof, designed so that a group can spend the day on the beach or by the pool with shade of their own.

It is fixed to the ground with double anchors, which keep it firm against the wind, and it also rests on the mattress bases. The roof, in African thatch or European water reed, overhangs by about 50 cm all the way round and is about 20 cm thick, which makes it waterproof.
