Bespoke pergolas
African thatch pergolas built on your plot.
We put up the timber frame and stitch the thatch on site, so the pergola is whatever shape and size you want. We work all over Spain.

- 20 cm
- of thatch on the roof
- Up to 30 years
- of life with very little maintenance
- From 30 m²
- to complexes of more than 1,400 m²
- All of Spain
- and projects abroad

Shapes
Mono-pitch, hipped, hexagonal or round.
Because the pergola is built on site, there are no catalogue sizes. We build mono-pitch roofs attached to a façade, gable roofs, hipped roofs, and hexagonal and circular ones.
Size is no limit either: from a 30 m² poolside pergola to the roofs of a leisure complex of more than 1,400 m², with no limit on height or length.
- Frame in round, glulam or square-sawn timber
- Posts sized to suit the project
- A roof with plenty of pitch, so that it is watertight

The details
Esparto grass rope and not a cable in sight.
The internal joints of the frame are finished with esparto grass rope, and the St Andrew’s crosses of the balustrades can be painted whatever colour the owner chooses.
The wiring is concealed within the timber. If you want lighting, we fit LED strips inside the roof without a single cable showing.
What you can add

Frequently asked questions
Before you commission a pergola
How long does an African thatch pergola last?
Up to 30 years with very little maintenance: a going-over roughly every four years to remove any thatch that has worked loose.
Do you work outside Andalusia?
Yes, all over Spain, islands included. We have built pergolas in Barcelona, Granada, Murcia and Castellón, as well as on the Costa del Sol.
Do I need an architect’s project or a building licence?
It depends on the municipality and the size. We guide you on the current regulations and, if there is an architect, we work with them.
Can I buy just the material?
Of course. We sell the thatch in bundles and in tiles, and the timber for the frame, for whoever you choose to build it.
What timber do you use?
Round, glulam or square-sawn timber depending on the design, treated for outdoor use.
