Beach bars

Beach bars you can spot from the water’s edge.

We develop the project, adapt it to the regulations of each area and build it: timber frame, natural thatch roof and everything that goes underneath.

How we work

Shoulder to shoulder with your architect.

We are involved from the moment we are commissioned: we review the whole project and contribute construction solutions. We work with the owner’s architects to resolve the build and adapt it to the regulations of each area.

On site we work alongside the contractors, organising the tasks so that each trade comes in at the right time. No two beach bars are alike, and each one calls for its own dedication.

  • Installers who are experts in timber frames
  • Experience with large palapas and hotel chains
  • Our own design or the client’s project

The process

Four stages, one point of contact.

  1. Project review

We study the plans, the site and the coastal and municipal regulations together with the architect.

  2. Construction solution

We define the frame, roof and finishes, and propose alternatives where there is room for improvement.

  3. On-site coordination

We plan with the contractor so that frame, roof and services don’t get in each other’s way.

  4. Assembly and finishing

We erect the timber frame and lay the roof.

The roof

Four finishes for the roof.

  • African thatch

The longest-lasting and the one that gives the most polished look, in bundles or in tiles.

  • Heather and tropical heather

Darker and lighter in weight; fringed, it has the feel of a tropical hut.

  • Reed

Pale and inexpensive, for seasonal roofs and umbrellas.

  • Synthetic palm thatch

With a fire certificate, for when the licence requires it.

Frequently asked questions

Before you build a beach bar

Do you handle the whole project or just the roof?

Both. We can take on the frame and the roof within someone else’s project, or develop the entire beach bar with your architect.

What size of job do you take on?

From a kiosk to large-area roofs for hotel and restaurant chains.

Do you take care of the licences?

The owner handles them with their architect. We adapt the solution to whatever the coastal authority and the town council require.

Do you work outside Andalusia?

Yes, all over Spain and in other countries too.

Can you repair the roof of an existing beach bar?

Yes: we replace the deteriorated material and go over the rest before the season starts.

No-obligation quote

Tell us what you want to cover and we’ll tell you what it costs.

The measurements, a photo of the site or the plans are all we need to prepare a quote for the material, with delivery and, if you need it, installation.
