The material
A dark mantle that dresses any structure.
Heather is a shrub with fine, heavily branched stems. Stitched into rolls it forms a dense, toast-coloured mat that gives close shade and an instantly rustic look.
A heather roof can be laid over a base of cane, board and butyl: it is that base that makes the roof watertight. The rolls are available in several sizes.
