Specifications
It is the same model of tile whether you are assembling an umbrella or roofing a pergola. We supply it with or without a clip on the rubber strip.

Installation
The tiles are laid in horizontal courses starting at the eave, so that each row overlaps the one before. They are fastened to the battens with the tile’s own clips or with heavy-duty staples.
You don’t need a thatcher’s skills: a carpenter or a regular roofer can do it with everyday tools. Ridges, eaves and hips each have their own piece.

Yes, like any natural material: between 2 and 5% a year for the first five years, until it stabilises.
Two years against mould and rot.
That is their most common use: eight tiles and a cone on a metal ring frame make an umbrella 2.15 m in diameter.
Both options. The tile with a clip on the rubber strip hooks straight on; the one without is fixed with heavy-duty staples.
